National Garden Month is our favorite month of the year. Honestly, we love getting outside and getting our hands dirty as we use our legendary skills to turn brown into green, and make gardens come to life. While it gives us great pleasure to do this, you might be surprised to learn that it also helps keep us just a little bit healthier and happier than you might expect.
That is because pretty flowers and beautifully maintained lawns help regulate moods, which of course lowers blood pressure and reduces stress. Even better, putting a spade in the soil for a few hours a week helps keep the weight off and reduces your time on the treadmill. Equally as important, home grown gardens produce a variety of fruits and vegetables that are pesticide-free and grown in such a way that their nutritional value is superior to that which can be found in supermarkets.
To learn more about the healthy benefits of gardening, come on over to Rosehill Gardens and speak with our friendly gardeners and landscaping gurus. They’ll be happy to pull up a chair and chat with you for a while about all the benefits gardening has to offer, including ceramic pots, mulch, fertilizers, container potting, perennials, tropicals, flowering trees, and more.
