Of all the gardening tips you will ever learn, none are more enjoyable than the ones that help you attract birds into your garden. Here are some of our favorites that our clients and gardeners swear by.
- Install a birdbath and a bird feeder. Make sure that each are filled as these will provide a basic reason for birds to visit your garden. Make sure to keep your bath and feeder clean otherwise they won’t attract birds, but rather pests and insects.
- Mind your plants. Plants such as alert New York Aster, Japanese Barberry and Arizona Sun Dwarf Blanketflower are great choices that birds love to be around.
- Build them a home. Nothing says “Welcome to my garden” than a ready-made place for birds to nest and relax in.
- Be careful not to put your birdhouses, feeders and baths near dog enclosures. While many bird species won’t mind, others will be less inclined to move in next to your furry friend.
- Finally, remember to check out the Plant Care Guide that we’ve created for you to use. The guide is full of information about every type of plant we carry and can plant in your garden to attract birds.
