Overview, Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4
With every newly installed landscape, it will take time for all the plants to reach full maturity that being said this Mountain Resort is Complete. From a residence with little privacy with an overgrown trees and shrubs to a Mountain Resort get away.
Front Entry
In the front entry area we removed all overgrowth and extended the planting bed to create a smooth and consistent line along the front of the house. Across from the existing water feature we constructed a bench out of boulders. With the use of a boulder wall we created a focal point of the urn with a service berry background and a evergreen and annual foreground.
Backyard Entertainment and Resort
The backyard was where the most extreme part of our landscape remodeling occurred. The existing patio was removed and replaced with a decorative stamp concrete, in addition a fire trough and ‘spool’ with a flag stone patio contribute to the oasis getaway. Plantings in combination with berms provide privacy screens while the fence was added for safety and security precautions. Using existing pots, we were able to add splashes of annual color throughout the entertainment spaces.
Dry Creek Beds
The use of dry creek beds not only faciliate the drainage of water but they also add to the character of the mountain landscape.
We hope you’ve enjoyed following this project as much as we have!! Joann, Thank you for letting us document your landscape remodel.
