Mic Mills, Farm Manager
Describe your average work day?
In order…. Deal with any logistical, equipment or product issues that the shrub growers or the annual growers are having. Load our landscape crews with trees. Place orders for plants or line up growing of new plants according to landscape usage. The rest of the day is filled with periodically checking on the growers needs, answering design questions and planning for the future growing and plant usage.
What are some things the public doesn’t know about the growing farm?
We grow 24/7 365 days a year. There are always a few plant products in production.
What sets Rosehill’s production farm apart from other facilities?
Flexibly and plant material size. We grow very large perennials, annuals and shrubs. Often our products are much large than anything I can buy in .
What do you like most about your job?
The fact that it varies so much. I rarely do one thing for more than a half hour.

A willow
What type of landscape are you most drawn to?
